Requirements
  • Must possess a Doctor of Dental Surgery or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from an accredited United States or Canadian dental school or a foreign equivalent and be eligible for a West Virginia dental license.
Responsibilities
  • Provide didactic and clinical instruction at the predoctoral and postdoctoral levels, patient care, and scholarly activity.
  • Serve as a course director and supervise students enrolled in the undergraduate Doctor of Dental Surgery program and graduate program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
  • Participate in clinical activities including intramural private practice and expansion of the research initiatives in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
  • Continue to grow the active clinical services at the School of Dentistry and West Virginia University Hospitals.
  • Demonstrate leadership, strong communication skills, and team-building; foster faculty and staff development through continuing education.
  • The department sponsors an advanced education training program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a one-year internship.
